The International Biology Olympiad is a global competition held annually in the July that brings together high school students who are passionate about biology.
The aim of the competition is to promote interest in biology and to encourage talented students to pursue careers in the life sciences.
The International Biology Olympiad is open to high school students who are under the age of 20 and have not yet begun university studies.
Application process involves National/Regional Selection Rounds. Once selected, students must register for the International Biology Olympiad through their national or regional biology olympiad office.
The first round of the competition takes place at the national or regional level, second and third rounds are theoretical and practical exams respectively which is held on international level.
The upcoming International Biology Olympiad 2023 is scheduled from 3-11 July 2023 at UAE University, in Al Ain / United Arab Emirates.
The future International Biology Olympiad will be held at Kazakhstan in the month of July.
