ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur, Maharashtra proposes to fill up temporary and time-bound vacant positions under the project on the basis of WALK IN INTERVIEW which may be extendable further depending on the availability of funds and the satisfactory performance of the candidate. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. All desirous and eligible candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the selection committee for a personal interview at ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur at 11:00 AM.

ICAR Recruitment 2023 – Posts, Eligibility, Age Limit and Salary

The details about posts, eligibility, age limit and salary for ICAR Recruitment 2023 are as follows :

1) Post – Young Professional – II (One Post)

Project Name – Development and Evaluation of spray and freeze-dried pomegranate juice powder and its reconstitution

Essential Qualification –

Post Graduate in (Food Technology/Food Science/Food Science and Nutrition/ Food Science and Technology)/ Agril. Engineering (Agril. Processing and Food Engineering/Agril. Process Engineering/ Post-Harvest Engineering and
Technology/ Food Engineering/Agricultural Structures and Processing), Post-Harvest Technology or Graduate in (Agril. Engg./ Food Science and Technology/Food Science/Food Technology )

Desirable* – Post Graduate or Ph.D. Relevant working experience in ICAR institutes or SAUs, with research knowledge in food processing, product development, and drying or dehydration of food. Good writing and communication skills in English /Hindi.

Age Limit – Minimum 21 years and a maximum of 45 years

Salary – Rs. 35000/P.M. Fixed

Job Requirements –

• Execute experiments on drying pomegranate juice using spray drying and freeze-drying technique
• Storage studies of dried juice powder.
• Report writing etc.

2) Post – Young Professional – I (One Post)

Project Name – Evaluation and Identification of new exportable varieties in pomegranate (Punica granatum L)

Essential Qualification –

Graduate degree in agriculture and allied sciences, or diploma holder in agricultural sciences/technology/engineering from a recognized university.

Desirable* – B.Sc. in Horticulture/Agriculture/Botany or Diploma holder in Horticulture/Agricultural Technology/Agricultural engineering with work experience in ICAR Institutes or SAUs.

Age Limit – Minimum 21 years and a maximum of 45 years

Salary – Rs. 25000/P.M. Fixed

Job Requirements –

• Handling of field, laboratory and nursery experiments.
• Research data recording, entry, and preparation of documents.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of computer operation.

ICAR Recruitment 2023 – Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions for ICAR Recruitment 2023 are as follows:

1. The positions/posts are purely on a temporary basis and are co-terminus with the project. There is no provision for re-employment after the termination of the project. Selected candidates can be discontinued owing to administrative reasons at any time by the issue of one month’s notice or one month’s emoluments in lieu thereof. They may also leave the assignment on their own, giving one month’s notice.
2. Age limit is Relaxable to SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. of India rules.
3. No TA, DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. The applicants must bring their original documents along with the duly filled application form (Annexure-Il) available in the notification pdf, one passport-size photograph and one set of photocopies of related documents at the time of the interview failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear in the interview.
5. No objection certificate from his employer and experience certificate in original should be produced at the time of the interview.
6. Canvassing in any form will lead to the cancellation of candidature.
7. The decision of the Director, ICAR-NRCP, would be final and binding in all aspects
