Applications invited for WISE Internship In IPR For Women Scientists. The WISE-IPR programme (a programme of the Department of Science and Technology) offers training in different fields of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). This one-year training programme provides theoretical knowledge of IPRs as well as on-the-job training at various centres in the country.

Women Scientist Scheme-C (WOS-C) is being implemented by the Patent Facilitating Centre of Technology Information Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC). Hands-on training on different aspects of IPRs (e.g. patent search, know-how, drafting, filing, trademarks, trade secrets, copyright etc.) is a major part of the WOS-C  curriculum in association with various Knowledge Partners.

Eligibility: WISE Internship In IPR For Women Scientists

ESSENTIAL

1) Women with Indian citizenship
(2) Minimum Essential Qualification: Master of Science; Bachelor in Engineering/Technology or equivalent.
(3) Age: Minimum 25 years; Maximum 45 years as on 31-03-2023

Note: 1) Women in permanent positions are not eligible to apply 2) Those who have already undergone training (partially or fully) in any of the earlier batches or those who are undergoing training in the ongoing batch are not eligible to apply.

DESIRABLE

(a) Proficient in handling computerized databases, collection, collation, analysis and report preparation.
(b) Basic understanding of various IPR aspects & issues with a logical aptitude towards scientific developments across the world. Experience in research, preparation of project reports, term papers and similar activities.

Benefits of the WISE Internship in IPR For Women Scientists

The WISE Internship in IPR offers a range of benefits for women scientists. Participants will have the opportunity to work with experts in the field and gain hands-on experience in IPR. In addition, participants will receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses during the internship.

The stipend based on qualification for one-year training in WISE-IPR is as follows:

M.Sc. in Basic or Applied Sciences/ B. Tech./ MBBS or equivalent	Rs. 25,000/- pm
M. Phil. /M. Tech./ M. Pharma/ M. V. Sc. or equivalent	Rs. 30,000/- pm
Ph.D. in Basic or Applied Sciences or equivalent	Rs. 35,000/- pm
